Melissa Fanning has extensive work experience in the nonprofit sector. Melissa started their career in 2003 as a Program Advocate at Mentor Duluth, where they worked until 2006. After that, they joined True North Americorps as a Program Director from 2006 to 2014. In 2013, Melissa joined the Duluth Area Family YMCA as the Out of School Time Director, and later became the Associate Executive Director and currently holds the position of Executive Director for the Community Services Branch.
Melissa Fanning attended the University of Minnesota Duluth from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching.
