Shane Laffin

Shane Laffin has a strong background in information security and has held various leadership roles in prominent organizations. Shane is currently working as the CISO at DuluxGroup since April 2023. Prior to this, they were the Head of Information Security at Australia Post's SecurePay Group from November 2021 to April 2023. Shane also served as the Information Security Manager at Reece Group from September 2015 to October 2021.

Additionally, Shane has been actively involved in the security community as a Board Member on the Executive Advisory Board for the Australian Information Security Association (AISA) since June 2019. Shane also served as an Industry Advisor at CyRise from March 2020 to April 2023. Shane was part of the Executive Advisory Board for Cyber at Deakin University from March 2018 to February 2023, where they provided governance and advice on cybersecurity research and education.

Earlier in their career, Shane held various IT management roles at Actrol Pty Ltd. as the IT Operations Manager from February 2014 to September 2015 and at Reece Australia as the IT Infrastructure Assistant Manager from August 2009 to February 2014 and as a Senior Systems Administrator from June 2001 to August 2009.

Shane Laffin attended RMIT University from 1994 to 1997, where they pursued an Associate Diploma in Electronic Engineering.
