Frauke Sachse

Frauke Sachse is currently the Program Director of Pre-Columbian Studies at Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection. Prior to this, Frauke served as an Assistant Professor at Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität, focusing on the Anthropology of the Americas. Sachse also held the position of President at Wayeb - European Association of Mayanists. With a PhD in Linguistics from Leiden University and a Master of Arts in Ethnology/Altamerikanistik, Anglistik, Vor- und Frühgeschichte from The University of Bonn, Sachse has a strong academic background in their field. Throughout their career, Frauke has been actively involved in research, teaching, and leadership positions within various academic institutions and organizations.
