Tanya Wood

Tanya Wood is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in construction law, commercial litigation, and insurance policy coverage. Currently a Partner at Duncan Cotterill since May 2019, Tanya previously served as Special Counsel and Senior Associate at MinterEllisonRuddWatts from July 2016 to May 2019. Tanya's prior role as an Associate at Jones Fee from March 2009 to July 2016 involved significant contributions to advising insurers on issues related to the Christchurch Earthquakes, including acting as a senior legal advisor on complex commercial property losses and resolving the three largest insurance claims in New Zealand's history. Tanya holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Auckland, completed between 1994 and 2001.
