Dunellen Public Schools
Ashley Powell is an accomplished educator with diverse experience in teaching and instructional leadership. Currently serving as an Instructional Coach and 9th grade English Teacher at Dunellen Public Schools since August 2023, Ashley previously taught 7th and 8th grade ELA at Unity Charter School, employing student-centered methodologies. Additional roles include a short-term position as a Language Arts Teacher at Hillside Board of Education School District, and a Principal and Director of Curriculum at Benedictine Academy, where Ashley also contributed as an English Teacher and Coordinator of Student Enrichment Programs. Previous teaching experience encompasses roles at Perth Amboy Board of Education and Sayreville Public Schools, along with management experience at Woodbridge YMCA. Ashley holds a master's degree in English instruction and curriculum from Kean University and has completed a supervision certification program.
