Ann Gadsden Shimer is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in retail and real estate. As the owner/operator of Consigning Women, Inc. since October 2010, Ann manages a thriving consignment business. Additionally, Ann has been a Real Estate Broker with Dunes Properties of Charleston since January 2000. Ann previously owned and operated Consigning Women SC from October 1994 until December 2016, when the location transitioned to new ownership as Classic Consignments. Ann holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management from the University of South Carolina and earned a Master of Business Administration from The Citadel.

We began with a single office and three employees in 1989. Today, we represent the Lowcountry with almost 80 exclusive beach vacation rental properties, over 70 real estate agents and employees, five full-service offices and many plans for the future. We are still locally owned and operated. Our offices have the entire Charleston Coast covered – from our original office on the Isle of Palms to our newest office in Mt. Pleasant. Our Folly Beach location covers not only the beach but all areas West of the Peninsula including James Island and West Ashley.
