Jennifer Hastings

Jennifer Hastings, Ed.D., currently serves as the Director of Special Education for Dunlap Community Unit School District #323 since July 2023. With extensive experience in educational leadership, previous roles include Director of Student Services at Urbana School District #116, Special Education Administrator for Rural Champaign County Special Education Cooperative, and Director of Special Education at Arlyn Day School Inc. Additionally, Jennifer has held positions such as Assistant Director of Student Services at Valley View School District and LBSl & Special Education Department Chair at McLean County Unit 5 School District. Jennifer began a career in education as a Kindergarten Teacher at Peoria Public Schools District 150 and also worked as a Special Education Teacher at Heyworth Community Unit School District #4. Jennifer holds an Ed.D. in Special Education, along with several advanced degrees from Illinois State University, demonstrating a strong commitment to professional development and leadership in the field of special education.
