Jasmine Vahidsafa

Jasmine Vahidsafa has a diverse work experience in the field of animation. Jasmine currently works at Duolingo as an Animator II, having previously held the position of Animator I. Prior to that, they worked at Surprise.com as an Animator from September 2021 to February 2022. Jasmine also worked at Pencilmation as an Animator from June 2020 to December 2021. Additionally, they worked at Velorean Productions where they primarily worked as an animator, but also contributed to various aspects of the production pipeline such as character design, storyboarding, and compositing. Some notable projects they worked on include "Space Jam: A New Legacy," "Sesame Street," "Battu: An Animated Musical," and "Age of Learning." Jasmine also has experience at Jagex as an Animator, Designer, and Artist from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they worked as an Animation Tutor at the University of California, Davis from 2014 to 2016. Jasmine began their career as a Summer Intern at Stanford University School of Medicine, where they studied thermosensation and thermotaxis of C. elegans under Dr. Dong Wang in 2011.

Jasmine Vahidsafa pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting their undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis from 2012 to 2016. During this time, they earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Microbiology. Later, they attended the Academy of Art University from 2017 to 2020, where they worked towards a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Animation, Interactive Technology, Video Graphics, and Special Effects.
