Kolja Johannsen

Kolja Johannsen, Ph.D. is a Senior Data Scientist at Duolingo with a background in finance and international financial markets. Prior to their current role, Kolja worked as a Forecasting Lead at Wayfair, a Consultant at Cornerstone Research, and completed their PhD in Finance at the University of Warwick. Kolja also has experience as a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley and completed internships at Deutsche Bank, Deloitte, and the Association of German Public Sector Banks. Kolja holds degrees in Economics and International Economics from University of Warwick, University of Tübingen, Lund University, and University of São Paulo.
