Wahab Owolabi

Wahab Owolabi's work experience starts with their current position as the Head of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging at Duolingo. They have been with Duolingo since 2023.

In 2016, Wahab founded URx, a conference that focuses on early career talent acquisition and development programs. They also founded OneReq, a community for talent acquisition and DEI professionals, in 2020.

As a Talent Partner at Andreessen Horowitz from 2016 to 2017, Wahab supported the growth of their network of startup engineering talent and organized the annual Hackathon "Battle of the Hacks."

Prior to that, they worked at Stanford University as part of the Career Ventures, Startups & Entrepreneurship team from 2014 to 2016, and founded CollegeZen in 2012.

Their career started at Carnegie Mellon University, where they served as an Assistant Director from 2009 to 2012.
