Yixin Duan

Yixin Duan's work experience includes being a Product Designer at Duolingo since August 2022. Previously, from November 2020 to April 2022, they worked as a Product Designer at Microsoft. Prior to that, Yixin was a Product Design Intern at Samsung Electronics from May 2019 to August 2019, where they contributed to streamlining the user onboarding process and worked on a side project to enhance engagement in corporate wellness. As a UX Design Intern at BMW China from June 2018 to August 2018, Yixin supported innovation at the Automated Driving Lab and worked on various design projects for BMW's in-car infotainment systems and ride-hailing app. Additionally, Yixin gained experience as a UI Design Intern at Industrial Bank Co., Ltd from June 2017 to September 2017, focusing on optimizing the mobile app user experience and creating illustrations for an internal employee management platform.

Yixin Duan pursued a Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction from 2018 to 2020 at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to that, Yixin completed a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Product Design from Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 2014 to 2018.
