Matthew J. Dodds

Matt Dodds joined Dupaco in 2003, with nine years of consumer lending experience in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Denver Colo. Until 2012 he served as Dupaco’s senior vice president of consumer lending, where he was responsible for all consumer lending functions within the credit union, including home equity lending, auto/RV lending, indirect lending, merchant financing, and credit cards. In 2012 he became the Chief Operating Officer and today he supports and works collaboratively with the leaders of Dupaco’s 18 physical branch locations, Consumer Lending, Mortgage Lending, Business Services, and the Member Solutions Department.

He is a current and past participant in regional and national credit union organizations including the CUNA Lending Council, CUNA Mutual Group Customer Experience Advisory Panel, AdvantEDge Analytics Co-Creation Council, CUES and the Northeast Iowa Chapter of Credit Unions.

Dodds holds a BA in finance, with a minor in accounting from Minnesota State University, Mankato. His continuing education milestones including holding the Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation from CUES having completed CEO Institute conducted at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University, and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He has also completed the CUNA School of Residential Mortgage Lending. Additionally, Dodds received the Dubuque Area Rising Star award in 2008.

Locally, he is currently the Vice Chair of the Iowa Credit Union League Board of Directors. Matt is also the past president and a current board member of Opening Doors, a nonprofit organization who help women and children who are experiencing homelessness in Dubuque, IA. Matt is also actively involved with Holy Family Catholic Schools and Resurrection Church. In the past, Dodds has supported the Dubuque Jaycees, United Way, the Dubuque Chamber of Commerce, and an Executive Committee member for Young Professionals of Dubuque.
