John Porcelli

President at DuPage Medical Group

Dr. John Porcelli is a board-certified physician in critical care, pulmonary medicine and sleep medicine and president of DuPage Medical Group (DMG). In his role as president, Dr. Porcelli works closely with the DMG leadership team to guide and improve all aspects of patient care, ensure continuous physician engagement and drive growth initiatives for the organization.

A strong advocate for physician-led care, Dr. Porcelli leads physicians in problem-solving and developing solutions for achieving higher quality, lower cost outpatient care. He also works to assure physicians have influence and opportunity in how they practice medicine.

Dr. Porcelli has been in practice at DMG since 2004 and was appointed president in 2019. Prior to his role as president, Dr. Porcelli served as treasurer and as a member of the DMG Board of Directors, chairman of DMG’s critical care, pulmonary medicine and sleep medicine department, medical director of the intensive care unit at a local hospital and as a leader on several internal and external committees.

As a full-time practicing physician, Dr. Porcelli brings extensive experience in treating lung cancer, COPD, acute lung injury, adult asthma, sleep disorders, sepsis and many other diseases related to his specialties.

Dr. Porcelli earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from Rush Medical College. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Rush University Medical Center and later completed fellowship training in critical care, pulmonary medicine and sleep medicine at Loyola University Medical Center, where he also served as chief fellow.
