Haitao Yu (Oscar)

Oscar Yu, also known as Haitao Yu, has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over 13 years. Haitao (Oscar) began their career in 2008 as a Construction Project Assistant at China Building Materials Corporation, where they worked as an English Interpreter in the cement industry.

In 2009, Oscar joined PayPal as an APAC Training Consultant. Haitao (Oscar) spent three years in this role, training over 450 individuals in various risk functions and developing new training curriculum and evaluation processes.

From 2013 to 2017, Oscar worked at Bertelsmann as a Senior Manager in Operation Consultant Learning & Development. Haitao (Oscar) managed over 30 outsourcing projects and served as the training head for the Uber China project.

In 2017, Oscar transitioned to a new role as Senior HR Manager at Yaguoyuan Group, where they focused on talent development and facilitated learning events and workshops.

In 2018, Oscar joined Learning Tribes China as the Head of Digital Learning & Consulting. In this role, they managed an international sales and marketing team and developed learning and development strategies for the greater China area. Haitao (Oscar) also conducted custom consulting and learning analysis for clients and supervised the quality of trainings delivered by external partners.

Most recently, Oscar worked at dss+ as a Business Leader, overseeing learning and development initiatives in Greater China. Haitao (Oscar) was also responsible for managing the company's digital business and client relationships. Additionally, they provided marketing support for the company.

Haitao (Oscar) Yu's education history begins with their Bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, General from China University of Mining and Technology, which they completed from 2004 to 2008. After that, they pursued further studies and obtained a Master's degree in Organization Development and Human Resource Management from The University of Hong Kong between 2019 and 2021.

In addition to their degrees, Haitao (Oscar) Yu has also obtained two certifications. Haitao (Oscar) acquired an IELTS certification from The British Council in June 2015 and a TOEIC certification from CESOL in October 2008.
