Tishekia Williams has a strong background in regulatory law and government affairs. Tishekia started their career in 2002 as a Legislative Intern and Legislative Aid at the Office of State Senator Jay Costa, Jr. From 2003 to 2006, they worked as a Legislative Program Manager at Health Partners, where they developed and executed legislative and fundraising strategies for a Medicare/Medicare managed care organization. In 2006, they served as a Legal Intern at the First Judicial District | Domestic Relations Division | Court of Common Pleas and as an Intern for U.S. Senator Arlen Specter, where they responded to constituent inquiries related to immigration and healthcare. In 2007, they joined Exelon Business Services Company as an Assistant General Counsel, overseeing the management and defense of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission formal complaint portfolio. Tishekia was then recruited by Duquesne Light Company in 2012 to serve as Managing Director, External Affairs and Regulatory Law | Senior Counsel | Regulatory Strategy. In this role, they led a team of attorneys and professionals, addressing customer complaints, managing regulatory matters, and driving government affairs for the $900M public utility.

Tishekia Williams holds a Juris Doctor degree in Law from Rutgers Law School, which they completed from 2005 to 2008. Tishekia also obtained a Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude, in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania between 1999 and 2002. Tishekia is currently pursuing a program in Social Innovation and Change Leadership at Carnegie Mellon University. Additionally, they have been admitted to the bar in both the State of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey.
