Zachary D. Merritt has extensive experience in engineering, project management, and leadership within both the energy and military sectors. Currently serving as General Manager of Business Services at Duquesne Light Company since 2016, Zachary has held multiple managerial positions overseeing safe construction and maintenance activities, as well as large-scale project execution. Prior to this, Zachary was involved in healthcare management at Highmark Inc., implementing cancer care programs, and served as Chief Engineer on the USS Alexandria, handling operations for a nuclear-powered submarine. Zachary’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Penn State University and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University. In 2023, Zachary became the Owner/Director of Groundball Hogs Lacrosse Club, demonstrating a commitment to community engagement.
