Matt Morris

Matt Morris founded Hampton River Partners, LLC in 2018 with support from several Bay Area entrepreneurs and families. Previously, Matt was a Senior Analyst at Pelorus Jack Capital (“PJC”), a San Francisco-based investment partnership. Prior to PJC, Matt was a founding team member of Challen Asset Management (“CAM”). Matt opened the firm’s Menlo Park, CA office and was responsible for driving primary research on individual direct investments, as well as funds. Previous to CAM, Matt was an Investment Manager at Northgate Capital (“NC”), a multi-billion dollar alternative asset management firm. Matt also had valuable early experience at CB Richard Ellis, DivcoWest, and Payden & Rygel.

Matt earned an MBA with a Finance emphasis from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BA from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
