Durham Cathedral is a place of worship, pilgrimage and spirituality. As one of Britain's most iconic buildings and a UNESCO World Heritage Site we welcome thousands of visitors every year.

Every day in the Cathedral is enriched with the Daily Offices of Morning and Evening Prayer (the latter being sung - i.e. Choral Evensong - most evenings) and at least one service of Holy Communion.

The Music and Choir Team at Durham Cathedral is responsible for the musical aspects of worship, including leading sung services such as the Choral Evensong. The team consists of members who manage administrative duties, perform as choral scholars, and provide instrumental accompaniment. Their efforts enhance the spiritual experience for the congregation and visitors, upholding the Cathedral's rich choral tradition.
