Ben Gaspar

Ben Gaspar is an experienced Outdoor Education Specialist Teacher at Durham Public Schools, where curriculum design and instruction for students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade are primary responsibilities since August 2016. With a strong background in facilitating team-building activities, Ben Gaspar serves as a Senior Challenge Course Facilitator at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Experience as a Lead Outdoor Educator with Inside Out, Inc. involved guiding school groups on backcountry adventures while imparting outdoor ethics and skills. Ben Gaspar has also instructed climbing courses at Alien Rock Climbing Gym and managed various outdoor excursions as a Lead Guide for The Northwest Passage. Education qualifications include a Master of Science in Outdoor Education from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Davidson College. Previous roles in special education further enhance Ben Gaspar's ability to work with diverse student populations.
