Abdul Karim Shamim has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Abdul Karim began their professional career as an Executive at Fluor Corporation in 2006 and then worked as an Assistant at DuPont from 2007 to 2009. In 2009, they joined Cerner Corporation as an Office Associate. In 2010, Abdul joined Standard Chartered Bank as a Senior Product Marketing Officer. Later in 2010, they also started working at BRAC Bank Limited, initially as an Associate Relationship Manager and subsequently took on roles as a Relationship Manager and Sales Manager. Currently, since December 2020, Abdul serves as the Regional Head of SME Business at Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited.

Abdul Karim Shamim holds a Master of Social Sciences (MSS) degree in Political Science from the National University of Bangla. Between 2001 and 2002, they pursued a secondary level education at Ankara University, where they focused on Botany/Plant Biology. Additionally, from 2000 to 2001, they attended Formula Botanica, obtaining a Bang degree in Materials Science.
