Joost Smit

Joost Smit is an experienced freelance technician and owner in the theater and events industry, currently serving as a Freelance Lichttechnicus at Ampco Flashlight Rental B.V. since March 2016. Joost has held various roles since January 2013, including Free Lance TT at Het Muziektheater Amsterdam, providing technical support, and Allround Theater Techniek at DeLaMar Theater. Additional experience includes Stagemanager & lichtontwerper at Concertgebouw and leadership as Owner & Director at De TheaterCombinatie. Joost has also worked as AV manager at Amsterdam Conference Centre Beurs van Berlage, engaged in theater technology and safety at Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and held roles involving stage management and light design at Theater Spant! and Koninklijk Theater Carré. Joost’s career began with project leadership at Zaans Museum from March 2010 to 2013. Educational background includes studies at HAN University of Applied Sciences.
