Maaike Ophuijsen is an experienced production leader with a strong background in the performing arts, currently serving as Productieleider at Nationale Opera & Ballet since February 2017. In this role, Maaike contributes to the creation, production, and presentation of high-quality opera and ballet productions within one of the largest cultural institutions in the Netherlands. Previously, Maaike held similar positions at Stage Entertainment, where theatrical productions were the focus, and at MUZtheater, which catered to younger audiences. Additional experience includes project leadership at Stichting De Kunst, production assistance with Het Muziektheater Collectief, and training coordination at See Tickets Nederland. Maaike began the career with a foundation in television production at Warner Bros. International Television Production and holds a Master of Arts in Theaterwetenschap from the University of Amsterdam.
