Taco Carlier

Taco Carlier is a seasoned entrepreneur with extensive experience in the e-bike and technology sectors. As a founding partner of Shifter Internetverlonen BV and Dutchband, Taco Carlier played a pivotal role in both companies since their inception. Taco Carlier co-founded VanMoof in 2009 and served as CEO until July 2023, contributing to the brand’s reputation as a leading e-bike manufacturer known for high-tech, feature-rich products aimed at transforming urban mobility. Prior to these ventures, Taco Carlier interned at Philips Consumer Lifestyle, focusing on environmental benchmarking for consumer electronics. Taco Carlier holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
