Joe McKenzie has extensive experience in educational leadership, serving as the School Principal at Duval County Public Schools since August 2009. In this role, Joe oversees the design of the Master Schedule for a comprehensive high school serving 2,600 students and supports individual student schedule adjustments. Previously, Joe held positions as Assistant Principal of Curriculum, Academic Coach, Reading Interventionist, and Reading Teacher, contributing to various aspects of curriculum development and student support. Additionally, Joe has a background in ministry, having served as Director of Worship at SonLife Church and Director of Student and Young Adult Ministry at First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville. Joe holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Erskine College.
