Chris Harris

Chris Harris has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Chris is currently employed at DV Trading LLC as a Senior Software Engineer starting from 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Allston Trading from September 2019 to December 2021, where they built and enhanced scripts and applications for futures trading and migrated and tuned a new compute cluster.

Before Allston Trading, Chris was a Senior Software Engineer at Geneva Trading from August 2018 to September 2019. Chris worked on the Toji platform, enhancing Java front-ends and building new C++ applications to support low-latency trade strategies. Chris then transferred to the core team to primarily support a C++ spread trading application.

From February 2018 to May 2018, Chris worked at PEAK6 Investments as a Development Lead - Execution, managing a small team of developers and overseeing trade execution systems. Chris also held the position of Senior Software Engineer at PEAK6 Investments from April 2016 to May 2018, where they built and enhanced applications for equity option trading and assisted a sister clearing firm with trade booking and reporting.

Chris has also worked at Toji Trading Group as a Senior Software Engineer from April 2005 to March 2016. In this role, they developed front-end and back-end systems for low-latency trading in derivatives markets worldwide.

Prior to their work at Toji Trading Group, Chris held positions at CNA as an Application Senior Specialist from April 2002 to April 2005, at Commerx as a Software Engineer from December 1999 to April 2002, and at CSC as a Staff Consultant from July 1997 to December 1999. At Commerx, they worked as an ASP/VB developer on custom B2B web applications, and at CSC, they primarily focused on Y2K testing and remediation for a large financial institution.

Chris Harris attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
