Gareth Parry has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Gareth most recently worked as a Quantitative Developer and Trader at DV Trading LLC, where they used Machine Learning to build a systematic trading platform for commodities futures. Gareth also modernized platforms using various tools such as Python, Tensoflow, Docker, Airflow, and Grafana.

Prior to that, Gareth worked as a Data Engineer at Redkite, where they collaborated with a team to deliver high-quality data ingestion frameworks and data warehouses using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and PySpark. Gareth also focused on using software engineering principles for improved data quality.

Gareth also worked as a Data Engineer at Assist Digital, providing data analyst and engineering support to clients. Gareth developed custom data pipelines and used tools such as PySpark, Hive, and Hue to build schemas and datasets for BI reporting. Additionally, they designed and developed dynamic Tableau dashboards for strategic decision-making.

Before that, Gareth held various roles as a Technical Data Analyst at Places for People and Business Data Analyst at Langstone Retail Services, REDMAYNE LODGE LTD, My Home Entertainment, and Cricket-stats.com. Gareth also served as a Technical Manager, Fielding, and Performance Analysis Consultant at the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

Gareth Parry's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled at Durham University. Gareth completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics from Durham University in 2006. Following this, Gareth pursued further studies at the University of Bath and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Mathematics in 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Gareth has also obtained several certifications in different areas. Gareth completed the "Learn Python 3 Course" and the "Learn SQL Course" from Codecademy in November and December 2020, respectively. In January 2021, they obtained the "Learn Web Scraping with Beautiful Soup Course" certification. Throughout 2021, Gareth achieved multiple certifications, including "Data Analyst Career Path," "Visualize Data with Python Skill Path," "Analyze Data with R Skill Path," "Learn Intermediate Python 3 Course," "Learn Git Course," and "Tableau Fundamentals." In March 2022, they obtained the "Learn D3 Course" certification, followed by the "Data Scientist Career Path" certification from Codecademy in April 2022. Gareth also earned the "dbt Fundamentals" certification from dbt Labs in January 2022.
