Jonathan Urban

Jonathan Urban has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Jonathan started their career in 2001 as a Eurodollar Options Trader at Wolverine Trading, where they were part of a team providing liquidity and managing inventory. Jonathan then joined Atlantic Trading in 2006 as an Interest Rate Trader, where they co-headed the Cash Bond Desk and reduced costs by negotiating with clearing firms and software providers. Jonathan also worked with a development team to create and trade gray box apps. In 2013, they moved to DV Trading as an Options Trader and Portfolio Manager for the Eurodollar Options group. There, they were responsible for creating and implementing futures algos based on interest rate curves and providing liquidity in the pit and electronic marketplace. Jonathan is currently working at Eli Owen Investments since 2018 as the Managing Director.

Jonathan Urban obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Economics from Indiana University Bloomington, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Jonathan has also obtained several certifications from Coursera, including "Application of AI, InsurTech, and Real Estate Technology," "Cryptocurrency and Blockchain: An Introduction to Digital Currencies," "FinTech: Foundations, Payments, and Regulations," "Fintech: Foundations & Applications of Financial Technology Specialization," "Lending, Crowdfunding, and Modern Investing," "Private Equity and Venture Capital - Universita Bocconi," "Executive Data Science, a 5-course specialization by Johns Hopkins University," "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) by University of Michigan," and "Understanding economic policymaking by IE Business School," with completion dates ranging from 2016 to 2021.
