Customer Service Representative at DW Distribution

Roy Cooper has been working in customer service for DW Distribution since October 2020. Prior to that, they were the Purchasing Manager at Tri-Supply Company from September 2015 to October 2020. At Tri-Supply, Roy led a team of three people responsible for order entry, purchasing, and inventory control, including negotiations, contracts, follow-up, and cycle-counts. Roy also oversaw the accuracy of sales orders entered into Agility software, scheduled sales orders based on vendor estimated time of arrival, and coordinated with the sales team on sales order issues.

In their role as Purchasing Manager, Roy was also responsible for reviewing and correcting all vendor purchase order confirmations, following up on late purchase orders, handling return requests, and performing inventory cycle counts. Roy was able to successfully develop new sources of supply and negotiate with suppliers to reduce the cost of a major product line by 25%. Roy also provided assistance to high-value customers with purchasing related issues and trained new employees on product knowledge and computer operation.

Roy Cooper is a certified purchasing management course from California State University, Northridge.
