Katie Barzee

Katie Barzee has a diverse work experience with a focus on operations and research roles. Katie began their career as an Assistant to Dr. Eugene McCall, Jr. at McCall Environmental, PA from June 2008 to June 2009. Katie then served as a Research Assistant to Dr. David Rubin at Duke University from February 2008 to December 2010. Moving on, they worked as a Stanback Conservation Intern at Yadkin Riverkeeper in June and July 2010. Katie also provided childcare services for Michel and Anne-Sophie Weinachter from February to May 2010. Following that, they joined the Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment as a Research Assistant to Dr. Gary Dwyer in October 2010, ending in July 2011. Katie then worked as a Paralegal at McCall Environmental, PA from March to July 2012. Katie further enhanced their legal experience at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where they served as a Litigation Paralegal from July 2012 to August 2015. Bringing their expertise to the investment sector, they joined an Investment Firm as a Research Associate from September 2015 to December 2017. Katie continued their career in operations by serving as an Operations Director at Organizational Tutors, LLC starting in May 2019 and at Dwellness In-Home Psychological Services, PLLC from July 2019 (ongoing).

Katie Barzee obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Earth and Ocean Sciences from Duke University, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Prior to Duke University, they attended the South Carolina Governor's School for Science & Mathematics from 2005 to 2007 and graduated with honors. In addition to their academic achievements, Katie Barzee also holds a certification as a SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), which they obtained from SHRM in November 2021.
