Abbey Morgan

Upper School English Teacher at DWIGHT-ENGLEWOOD SCHOOL

Abbey Morgan is an experienced educational professional currently serving as an Educational Consultant at The EngagED Classroom since January 2022 and an Upper School English Teacher at Dwight-Englewood School since August 2019. Previous roles include Research Commons Graduate Assistant and Instructor at the University of Maryland College Park, where Abbey contributed to expanding library services for high-level research from September 2012 to October 2021. Abbey's teaching career began as a Language Arts Teacher at Dwight-Englewood School from 2010 to 2012, and includes experience as a Special Education Resource Teacher at West Mecklenburg High School and as a Special Education Teacher with Teach For America, both from 2007 to 2009. Abbey holds a PhD in Literature from the University of Maryland, as well as a Certificate in Special Education and Teaching from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Rutgers University–New Brunswick.
