Composition, Piano Teacher,rock And Pop Ensemble Coordinator at DWIGHT-ENGLEWOOD SCHOOL

Rubens Salles is an experienced music educator and performer, currently serving as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Miami since August 2022. In addition to this role, Rubens has been a music teacher at the Piano School of New York since August 2011, where responsibilities include teaching piano and music theory as well as organizing recitals. Rubens has also been a Piano Instructor at Dwight School since May 2010 and teaches composition, piano, and coordinates the Rock and Pop Ensemble at Dwight-Englewood School since January 2010. As a freelance musician since December 2009, Rubens performs across various genres such as Brazilian, African, contemporary classical, reggae, rock, jazz, and R&B. Previous experience includes teaching roles at EMT and Escola de Música e Tecnologia from 2004 to 2006. Educational qualifications include a master's degree from the New England Conservatory of Music and a Professional Music degree from Berklee College of Music, complemented by a Classical Piano degree from Faam.
