Jack Derbyshire

Jack Derbyshire is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in organizing and curating TED events, serving as the founder and license holder of TEDxDurham since November 2015. Simultaneously, Jack has been a software engineer at IBM since December 2014. In addition to these roles, Jack has contributed to iD Tech Camps since 2010, holding positions as assistant director and lead instructor, teaching various technological skills while overseeing camp operations. Previously, Jack founded TEDxUNCAsheville, significantly expanding its reach and impact. Jack's early experience includes serving as a resident assistant at the University of North Carolina Asheville, where community building and policy enforcement were key responsibilities. Jack holds a Bachelor's degree in computer science and a dual degree in computer science and mathematics from the University of North Carolina Asheville.
