Nigel Elgar

Nigel Elgar has extensive experience in sustainable land management and agricultural development, currently serving as the Brecon Beacons Mega Catchment Project Manager and Catchment Partnership Co-ordinator at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water since February 2017. In this role, Nigel contributes to the Dŵr Cymru Catchment Management Programme, ensuring water quality and fostering local partnerships. Previously, Nigel worked as the Common Land Development Officer at Cadwyn Clwyd Cyfyngedig, facilitating government program entries, and as an Agrisgôp Leader for Menter a Busnes. With a background as Technical Director at Graig Farm Producers Limited, Nigel was instrumental in enhancing member returns through cooperative marketing for organic livestock. Additionally, Nigel held the position of Managing Partner at Cannon Farm Partnership, where profitable farming integrated with environmental stewardship was prioritized. Nigel's educational foundation includes studies at Welsh Agricultural College and Harper Adams University.
