Timothy Mertens

Timothy Mertens has served as the Above Ground Assets Data and Risk Manager at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water since September 2013, where responsibilities include managing a team focused on key performance metrics and risk assessment for operational and investment decisions. Previously, Timothy held roles such as Treatment Performance Coordinator, overseeing annual Discharge Permit Compliance reporting and developing dashboards, and Environmental Assistant, creating guidelines for pollution incidents. A BEng graduate in Environmental Engineering with 1st Class Honours from Swansea University, Timothy also engaged in various roles during studies, including signalman and assistant archery instructor, showcasing a strong foundation in both technical and customer-facing environments.
