Matt Martel

Matt Martel is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in real estate debt execution and management. Currently serving as the Head of Real Estate Debt Execution, Director, and Lead Portfolio Manager at DWS Group since September 2016, Matt oversees the structuring and execution of European real estate debt transactions, including primary loan origination, secondary purchases, and investment deals. Prior to this role, Matt held the position of Director for Real Estate Finance and Restructuring at NatWest Markets, where responsibilities included transaction management for distressed real estate finance transactions. Earlier experience as a Senior Associate at Clifford Chance LLP involved acting for financial institutions and borrowers in financing and debt restructuring transactions globally. Matt holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the University of Exeter and a Level 4 Certificate in Investment Management from the CFA Society United Kingdom.
