Kevin Young

Director at Dynamic Animation Systems

Kevin Young began their career in 1991 as a Sonar Engineer for the US Navy. Kevin was responsible for managing a team of technicians and operators responsible for the operations of the SQQ89 sonar system, shipboard ASW training, training content development, sonar software and hardware maintenance, and administrative support. In 2001, they joined Dynamic Animation Systems as the Director. In this role, they provided program management support for the ASW portion of the Combined ASW and IAMD Trainer (CIAT) for shore based synthetic signature generation surface ship trainer. Kevin was also responsible for program management shore based synthetic signature generation submarine team training, and was the direct manager for program related tasks of contract personnel. Kevin was responsible for all software engineering and design decisions, implementation, testing, configuration management and installation for CIAT, Common Operational Analysis and Employment Trainer (COAET) and the Acoustic Analysis Trainer (AAT) training systems at various Navy training sites CONUS and OCONUS.

Kevin Young attended Virginia Tech from 1997 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science.
