Nga Tong

Nga Tong has extensive experience in medical publications and communications. Starting in 2013, Nga worked as a Research Intern at the World Health Organization, contributing to the development of a systematic methodology for disease burden and epidemiology. Nga also worked at Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics as a Publication Manager, producing high-quality scientific manuscripts and collaborating with external researchers and key opinion leaders. At GSK, Nga managed secondary publications within the Scientific Affairs department, with a focus on vaccine-preventable diseases. Nga then worked at Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc. as a Manager of Scientific Communications, leading projects and ensuring compliance with publication practices. At Biogen, Nga served as Manager of Global Medical Publications, overseeing the Hemophilia franchise. Following Biogen, Nga worked at Bioverativ as Senior Manager of Medical Publications, contributing to strategic communication and publication plans for rare diseases. Nga then joined Flexion Therapeutics as Associate Director of Medical Publications and Communications, leading scientific communications within the musculoskeletal disease space. At Moderna, Nga served as Associate Director of Medical Communication & Publication Strategy, focusing on medical abstracts, posters, and manuscripts. Currently, Nga is the Director of Medical Information Communications and Operations at Dynavax Technologies.

Nga Tong has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Bowdoin College. Nga also holds a Master of Public Health degree from Boston University School of Public Health, with a focus on International Health, Pharmaceuticals Assessment Management & Policy. In addition, they obtained certification as a Certified Medical Publication Professional from ISMPP in December 2018.
