Lead R&d Engineer at Dynelectro

Thomas Erik Lyck Smitshuysen is currently the Lead R&D Engineer at Dynelectro, specializing in project planning and execution within Solid Oxide Electrolysis since August 2022. Previously, Thomas served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at DTU Physics from September 2018 to July 2022, focusing on heterogeneous catalysis for ammonia and methanol synthesis, including supervising student projects and mentoring PhD candidates. Thomas also held the position of PhD Fellow, investigating alloy catalysts in sustainable energy conversion. Earlier experience includes roles as a Student Assistant at DTU Nanolab and a Teaching Assistant at DTU Compute, alongside involvement in music as a Kirkesanger and organist. Thomas holds a Cand.Polyt. degree in Physics and Nanotechnology and a BSc in the same field from DTU, complemented by diverse music qualifications and a background in classical music education.
