Umesh Jonnalagadda

Umesh Jonnalagadda is an experienced materials scientist currently serving as an Associate Principal Materials Scientist at Dyson since July 2022. Previously, Umesh worked as a Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University from June 2017 to July 2022, where significant contributions included developing acoustically responsive nanoparticles for enhanced drug delivery and innovating in green chemistry. Umesh has a robust academic background with a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southampton, a Master of Engineering from Cornell University, and a Bachelor's degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Alongside research, Umesh possesses strong skills in signal processing, software design, and mentoring students, evidenced by multiple publications and provisional patents. Previous roles include positions at institutions such as the University of Southampton and Cornell University, where Umesh led projects in acoustofluidics and cancer biomechanics.
