Derrick Tan (陈国锋) has a diverse work experience in IT and management roles. Derrick has recently worked as the Global IT Director at DyStar since 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Manager and IT Business Partner at Kuok Singapore Limited Group from 2017 to 2020, where they led various projects and managed infrastructure, operations, and security functions. Derrick also worked as the Senior Manager of IT at PaxOcean during the same period, where they were responsible for the rollout of SAP S/4 and oversaw IT operations in Singapore, Indonesia, and China. Before that, they held the position of Head of Information Communication and Technology at RockTree Logistics Pte. Ltd. from 2014 to 2016, and Global Head of SAP & System Integration at GSP Offshore in 2014. Derrick has also served as the Head of IT and Integration at S.D. Standard Drilling Pte Ltd from 2012 to 2013, and as the Information Management and Technology Manager at PCI Limited from 2007 to 2012. Derrick started their career as a Network Engineer at CityCab Pte Ltd in 2004 and as a System Administrator at Barudan Asia Pte Ltd from 2002 to 2003. Throughout their career, they have managed IT systems and processes across various countries, including Singapore, Indonesia, China, Romania, Mexico, Holland, Russia, Luxemburg, the Philippines, and Japan.

Derrick Tan (陈国锋) has a diverse education history. In 2002, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the University of Wollongong. Prior to that, from 1997 to 1999, they studied at Singapore Polytechnic and earned a Diploma in Multimedia Software Engineering, specializing in Information Technology. In 2015, Derrick pursued an Executive MBA from Nanyang Business School. Derrick further enhanced their knowledge and skills through various executive programs, including Shipping Strategy & Innovation at Lorange Institute of Business in 2016 and Offshore Shipping & Value Chain at DNV GL in the same year. In 2016 and 2017, they completed the Data Science Specialization from The Johns Hopkins University. Derrick also holds several certifications, such as Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from Scrum Alliance, Certified Personal Trainer from the National Council on Strength & Fitness - NCSF, and ITIL Foundation Level from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Derrick has obtained various other certifications from reputable institutions like Coursera, SAP, (ISC)², Checkpoint, Cisco System, Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute, Pera Neville Clarke, Microsoft, and PMI TR.
