Joshua Long

Vice President of Engineering at DZYNE Technologies

Joshua Long has held various engineering roles since 2006. Joshua began their career at TriCAD Engineering as a Senior Mechanical Engineer on a contract for BAE Systems, where they designed the front structure of the MRAP RG33 family. In 2007, they joined BAE Systems as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, where they served as the Physical Integration and Concept Lead for Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) and the Integration and Structure Lead for Armored Utility Variant (AUV). From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Merlin RAMCo Inc., where they were responsible for ensuring the aircraft fleet continued to fly safely with a high reliability and availability. In 2011, they joined Plug-In Conversion as a Principal Mechanical Engineer, where they conducted all the mechanical engineering for extended range battery systems. From 2012 to 2015, they were a Principal Mechanical Engineer at Leucadia, where they created initial concepts of several diverse UAV aircraft designs, System deployment systems, and supporting test equipment. In 2015, they joined PACAVI Group as a Lead Airframe Engineer, where they created the design for the primary structural modifications of the airplane and new cargo door. Finally, in 2016, they became Vice President of Engineering and Director of Engineering at DZYNE Technologies, specializing in the rapid design, development, and production of advanced unmanned aircraft.

Joshua Long attended San Diego State University from 1999 to 2004 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
