Senior Expert, Project Management Competence Lead at e-Governance Academy

Tõnis Mäe is the Senior Expert on Digital Transformation at e-Governance Academy. Tõnis has held this position since June 2012.

Mäe has a long and varied history in the tech industry. Tõnis was the CEO of Abobase Systems from June 2001 to May 2004. Tõnis then worked as Sales Manager for Oracle from January 2000 to December 2002. In 2004, they began working for Hewlett Packard as Country Manager. Tõnis held this position until 2009, when they left to become the Business Development Manager for Affecto.

In 2010, Mäe became the CEO of Gemba Konsultatsioonid. Tõnis held this position until 2011, when they left to become the Start-up Estonia Program Manager for Enterprise Estonia. Tõnis held this position until 2012, when they joined e-Governance Academy.

Tõnis Mäe has a diploma from Henley Business School and a masters in physics from the University of Tartu.

Tõnis Mäe reports to Hannes Astok, Executive Director. They are on a team with Arvo Ott - Director of e-Government Technologies, Margareta Telliskivi - Head of Project Development, and Merle Maigre - Programme Director, Cybersecurity. Some individuals on their team include Anne Nurmik - Technology Project Manager, Uuno Vallner - Senior Expert on Interoperability, and Heiko Vainsalu - Programme Director of Technology.
