Project Manager/Cloud Engineer Lead at E-InfoSol

J.R. Kim has extensive experience in various roles within the IT industry. J.R. began their career as a System Admin at DongSung America in 1996. J.R. then worked as a Principal Technical Support Engineer at CBSI, Inc., where they managed the migration of a Windows 3.11 Workgroup environment to an NT 4.0 domain environment for USPTO. Kim went on to work as a Server Administrator at PROSOFT, Inc., providing DNS support for DISA.MIL and implementing servers for DISANet.

In 2000, Kim joined Winstar Communications as a Systems Integrator, where they managed remote access using Citrix Terminal servers and NT domain management. J.R. also supported database migration and integration from M&A companies, as well as application software packaging using MS SMS and scripting.

Kim returned to PROSOFT, Inc. in 2001 as a Network Design Engineer, working for DISANet (DISC) to provide server and network design and implementation. J.R. implemented various systems, including EPM servers, DISA.MIL DNS servers, and Active Directory and Exchange migrations.

Starting in 2002, Kim worked as a Sr. Network Engineer at AnviCom for a year before transitioning back to PROSOFT, Inc. as a Project Team Lead. In this role, they managed a team to support IT services for JPRA at Ft. Belvoir, VA, including web/database programming and O&M.

In 2008, Kim joined Enterprise Business Solutions, Inc. as a Solutions Director, specializing in DoD and Federal Programs. During this time, they developed business opportunities and partnerships, while also serving as a project lead and IA SME for the Defense Information Systems Agency in the DVS program office.

From 2017 to 2018, Kim held the position of Sr. Technical Manager at General Dynamics, where they managed a Federal Program, supporting operations, cybersecurity, application development, and infrastructure migration to the cloud.

Currently, since 2018, Kim works at E-InfoSol LLC as a Project Manager/Cloud Engineer Lead. In this role, they advise Federal clients in migration towards Cloud (AWS, AZURE) using the latest GovCloud services. J.R. also supports the Enterprise Cloud Office for all Cloud-related projects.

J.R. Kim has a diverse education history. J.R. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech between the years 1988 and 1993. In 2006, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Information Technology at the University of Maryland Global Campus, completing it in 2008. Continuing their education, J.R. Kim earned a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2009.

In addition to their formal education, J.R. Kim has obtained various certifications. J.R. acquired the AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate (CSAA) certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2019. However, specific details regarding the certification months and years for CISSP, MCSE, and PMP are not provided.

J.R. Kim was also associated with Cisco Telepresence, although the extent and nature of their involvement are undisclosed.
