Nityanshu Kumar

Nityanshu Kumar, Ph.D., is a Research Scientist at Corning Incorporated, specializing in thin films and surfaces since November 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Procter & Gamble, where Nityanshu developed ab initio physics-based lubrication models. Nityanshu served as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Akron from September 2017 to June 2022 and completed a summer internship at Procter & Gamble linking the characteristics of botanical oils to their conditioning performance. Earlier roles involved student assistance at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and internships at 3M, focusing on various aspects of material performance. Nityanshu holds a Ph.D. in Polymer Science from The University of Akron and a Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science and Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
