Vanesa Ruiz Ruiz is a Battery Scientist at E-magy since February 2023 and serves as a Guest Editor for MDPI's Special Issue on "Recent Advances in Performance of Materials for Li-Based Rechargeable Batteries." With extensive experience at the European Commission as a Programme Officer and Grantholder from November 2013 to October 2022, Vanesa also held the position of Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institut Català de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia between September 2011 and October 2013. Previous roles include Chemical Analyst at IRIS Innovació i Recerca Industrial i Sostenible, Postdoctoral Fellow at CSIRO, where high energy supercapacitors were developed, and a PhD candidate at the Instituto Nacional del Carbón - CSIC. Vanesa obtained a PhD in Material Science from the University of Oviedo, following a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the same institution.
