Dirk van Den Biggelaar

Dirk van den Biggelaar is an experienced Data Engineer currently working at E.ON, focusing on Data Engineering in the field of GenAI. Previously, Dirk held roles at Ultra Tendency as a Big Data Developer and a Data Engineer, where responsibilities included cloud migration and the implementation of data-ingestion engines. Dirk's background also features research and development in decentralized energy markets at Grid Singularity, co-founding Energy Bazaar to design decentralized energy trading systems, and a graduate internship at CGI developing trade algorithms for micro-grids. Dirk has a strong educational foundation with a Master of Science in Systems and Control Engineering from Delft University of Technology and additional studies in Korea. Prior experience includes leadership roles in sailing instruction and project management in supply chain maintenance during an internship with HEINEKEN.
