Mike Cookson

Mike Cookson has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Mike most recently served as the Head of Information Technology at Barrus Ltd starting in 2022. Prior to that, they took a career break for carers leave from 2021 to 2022. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at Oxford Instruments, first as the Group IT Director and then as the Interim Group Head of IT Operations. In 2018, they briefly served as the Head of IT and IT Director at an unspecified company. From 2014 to 2018, they were the Group IT Director at ERGOMED PLC. Prior to that, they worked at Norgine from 2006 to 2014 as the Global Infrastructure Manager, overseeing IT operations and providing support across multiple European sites. Before joining Norgine, they worked at Wyeth from 2004 to 2006 as the UK Technical Support and Operations Manager. Mike'scareer in IT began at HFC Bank in 1995, where they worked as an IT Technology Manager. Mike started their professional journey at IBM as a Customer Engineer from 1989 to 1995.

Mike Cookson attended Bracknell & Wokingham College from 1986 to 1989, where they obtained a BTEC Ordinary National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
