Michael Chegini

Michael Chegini, PhD, PE, SE, A.AIA has over 40 years of experience in the engineering and construction management fields. Michael began their career in 1976 as a Junior Planner for Medical Planning Associates. Michael then moved to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in 1977 as a Bridge Engineer, and then to STV as a Manager. In 1980, they joined Southern California Edison as a Project Manager. In 1983, they became a Partner at Design Engineering Group. In 2006, they founded, became CEO and CIO of ePlanSoft\u2122. In 2014, they became the CEO and President of ePlanSoft\u2122. During their time at Owen Group, a Los Angeles based engineering and construction management firm, they served as Managing Principal. Michael has provided compliance and engineering audit services for projects such as new World Trade Center in New York, new Westside Subway Tunnel in Los Angeles and major design-build services for Elevated Roadways in China and major Topanga Mall in Los Angeles.

Michael Chegini, PhD, PE, SE, A.AIA has an education history that includes The University of Texas at Austin, California State University, Long Beach, and UC Irvine. Michael obtained certifications in Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) in May 2011, Project Management from UC Irvine in June 1996, and Value Engineer from Federal Government Agencies and Certified Value Engineer.
