Jesse Hitchcock has a diverse background in environmental research, policy, advocacy, and educational initiatives. Starting in 2009 with Nature Alberta, Jesse held various roles overseeing environmental programs and consultations. Jesse also served as a Field Researcher, Lab Instructor, and Teaching Assistant at different organizations before moving into policy and government-related roles with the Parliament of Canada and efficiencyPEI. Recently, at E Source, Jesse has held multiple roles as a Lead Research Analyst focusing on energy efficiency and climate change mitigation. These experiences showcase Jesse's expertise in environmental sustainability, research, and public engagement.
Jesse Hitchcock completed a Fall Program in Marine Biology at the Bamfield Marine Sciences Center in 2010. They then obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Evolutionary Biology from the University of Alberta in 2011. Jesse went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Environmental Science at the University of Prince Edward Island, graduating in 2018.
