Shawn Marcum

Director, Regulatory Counsel at E-Space

Shawn Marcum has a diverse range of work experience. Shawn currently holds the position of Director, Regulatory Counsel at E-Space since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Lynk from 2020 to 2023, first as the Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs, and then as the Director of Regulatory Affairs. From 2017 to 2020, Shawn served as a Regulatory Counsel at OneWeb, where they worked on numerous projects involving legal and regulatory compliance in the telecommunications industry. Before that, they gained experience as a Student Attorney in the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Clinic at the American University Washington College of Law in 2016. Additionally, Shawn served as a Legal Intern at the Federal Communications Commission in 2015 and 2016. Shawn has also worked as a Mathematics Tutor and held various positions at Georgetown College. In 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at The Council of State Governments.

Shawn Marcum obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics & Political Science from Georgetown College, graduating in 2014. Following this, they attended the American University Washington College of Law from 2014 to 2017, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree with a focus on Telecommunications & Intellectual Property Law. Prior to their college education, Shawn attended Lawrence County High School from 2006 to 2010. Shawn has also received certification as an Attorney from the Virginia State Bar.
